My Experience with RSS Feeds

Hi Everybody

For the first time I tried using RSS Feeds. I found them to be an excellent shortcut for getting all kinds of information on the internet. You do not have to go to a seperate web page.

9/11 Thoughts and Reflections

Hi Everybody

I can not believe that 6 years has gone by since the worst terrorist attack in our nations history. Well where was I that day. I working for a Diabetic Supply Company in Fort Lauderdale. I'll never forget how I first found out about the attack and my reaction to it. I overheard bits and pieces of a conversation between a co-worker and one of the owners of the company and I noticed that this owner just got into work and he seemed very upset. So I asked the co-worker to explain to me what happened and my response was OMG! My heart started to race with aniexty. It was tought having to work the rest of the day. I remember going out to my car and listening to the radio during my lunch hour. Also, we where one of the few places that stayed open to the regular time. Driving home that day was erry it was like being in a ghost town. There were hardly any cars out on the road during what would normally be the afternoon rush. I did not get to see the awful pictures of what had happened until I got home that evening. It seemed almost surreal like something out of a disaster film. However, it was terribly real. That day changed our world forever.

Flickr,Mapper,Motagr And Flickr Color Pickr

Hi Everybody

I looked at Flickr, Motagr and Flickr Color Pickr and I was quite impressed with all of them. Mapper I could not get into. The site is apparently down. Flickr is a cool photo sharing site. In fact I am thinking maybe we can put this application on our webpage and use it to promote the library. Flicker Color Pickr is also a cool website as well. You can find public photos that are the same color and make a photo album with it. Motagr is also a cool website. Have a good day.

The Old Internet Before There was a WWW and The New Ipods

Hi Everbody

This Morning a coleague of mine mentioned to there is another part of the internet besides the world wide web. It is called the usernet. What is the usernet you ask? Well it is text based message boards called newsgroups. Google groups is one that is quite prominate. At&t also has one which you have to a be a subscriber to in order to access.
Also, Steve Jobs at a media event on Wednesday announced that Apple Inc is releasing a new line of ipods this week. For more info go to www.apple.com. Let me just say that I was quite impressed. More bang for the buck. My prediction is that the new generation of ipods will fly off of store shelves this holiday season.

Finally I explored www.flickr.com and I was amazed with what one can with their photos with this new web 2.0 technology. Well that is all for now.
